Ingredients
- Semolina 4 tbsp
- Milk 2.5 cup
- Water 0.5 cup
- Salt 2 pinch
- Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
- Sugar 2 tsp
- Butter 20 g
Directions
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients and a small saucepan.
Step 1

Place the poppy seeds in a small bowl, cover with hot water, and let them soak for 10–15 minutes. Drain the water and rinse the poppy seeds.
Step 2

In a saucepan, combine the milk, semolina, salt, and the prepared poppy seeds. Mix well, breaking up any lumps. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly with a whisk or spoon, bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, without stopping the stirring.
Step 3

Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it stand for 10–15 minutes. During this time, the semolina will fully swell and the porridge will become thick.
Step 4

Add the butter and sugar to the infused porridge, and mix well.
Step 1

You can garnish the semolina porridge with poppy seeds with grated chocolate, coconut flakes, or banana slices.
